Guided walks in Bird Park, Children’s Activities and Family Yoga

Did you know that our municipality is accredited as an Arboretum?  Join us to learn more about the trees in our community and parks, and their importance in maintaining the ecology and character of the community.  The event includes short, guided walks, family friendly hands-on activities- including yoga - and an opportunity to meet neighbors working to make the parks an asset to the community.

  • Take a short, guided tour of Bird Park and learn about the important restoration work done by the Mt Lebanon Nature Conservancy and the community to revitalize the ecology of this wooded habitat.

  • Information on native trees and shrubs that you can include around your house

  • Learn about the invasive species that can impact local forests

  • Meet members of local organizations, including the Parks Advisory Board, dedicated to preserving green spaces and learn how neighbors can get involved.

  • Family yoga

  • Children's hands-on activities

  • Families are welcome!
