Plant Description: Also called Dense Gayfeather, the plant grows in an upright, stalk-like form reaching 3-4'. At the base are grasslike leaves in clumps that also extend up the stem to the showy flower cluster. The rose-purple flowers create tufted flowerheads from top-down.

Planting Instructions: Full sun. Medium moisture but tolerates inundation, so is suitable for rain garden. Attracts birds, butterflies and bees. Tolerates drought, clay soil.
