Plant Description: A perfect, easy-to-grow woodland native for the shade garden. Mauve pink flowers bloom spring to early summer. Offers early pollinator support. Partially evergreen; beautiful palmate leaves can turn red in the fall. Grows 8-12" by 12-18". Will slowly spread if happy. Is lovely mixed in with a other spring bloomers.

Planting Instructions: Prefers shade to partial-shade and average to moist well-drained soils such as those found in our western PA woodlands. Grows from thick stolons that spread over time when well sited. Will also self sow but the leaves and flowers of the plant are so attractive it always seems like lovely serendipitous occurrence. Good as a groundcover because of its ability to colonize.
